People often ask me how Hidden Fence Regional started.

The truth is, it wasn't born from a business idea. It was born out of frustration, worry, and a genuine love for our dogs.

Our dogs were escape artists. If there was a way out, they would find it. We spent countless hours driving around country roads looking for them, knocking on neighbours' doors, and hoping every time the phone rang that it wasn't bad news.

One day, while we were driving home from Melbourne, we got a call from the local ranger.

He had both of our dogs.

They hadn't just wandered down the road either—they'd somehow managed to break into an elderly lady's house, made themselves completely at home, and were having a sleep on her lounge. Looking back now it's almost funny, but at the time we were absolutely mortified.

We'd reached the point where we were completely out of ideas.

Like most people, we started with the cheaper options. We bought the budget systems from eBay, tried other well-known brands, and kept hoping the next thing would finally solve the problem. We spent a lot of money on products that simply didn't give us the confidence we needed.

Eventually, we decided to invest in a DogWatch® Hidden Fence system.

I realised we weren't the only ones who had been through it.

That's when the idea for Hidden Fence Regional was born.

I wanted to help other families avoid the stress, the worry, and the heartbreak that we experienced. Every dog deserves the freedom to enjoy its own yard safely, and every owner deserves the peace of mind of knowing they'll still be there when they get home.

Today, that's exactly what we do.
